So we arrived at Gatwick to 10C, windy and rain. The meal on the plane was the worst ever in all my flying to the UK. The pasta was overcooked, the beef was cold and the rice salad was soaking in vinegar and olives.
The day had been gray all day, dried up a little and the sun has tried to peak out. The travelers have all taken turns falling asleep during the day, I think it will be an early night for all.
Went to Tesco's to buy our groceries for the the start of the week. Surprised at the amount of Gluten Free items for sale. I found two loaves of white GF bread that actually tastes like regular bread, not cakey, doesn't break up or crumble and also can stay out on the counter for several days. No freezing, no keeping ion the frig.
We picked up fruit, deli meat, cereal, and other breakfast and picnic foods. We also picked up wine and beer, we are on holidays after all.
Had a lovely dinner, roast pork, roast lamb, roast potatoes, parsnips, carrots, cauliflower and broccoli. For dessert Megan made a chocolate cheese cake.
Once again we are gathered around the tv listening to not the cooking show but two three different snoring sounds. Yup as I said and early night.
One quick note , picked up the Internet and texting packages and my Baseball buddies Rich and Kerry are keeping we informed pitch by pitch. Great win last night, we are at .500 and as I type it is the bottom of the 8th 1 on two out looking for win number 10 in a row.
