Day 2 starts with the people across the street screaming and shouting like hooligans coming home form at football game. 4:30 in the morning, strange bed, warm room and a street light at window height, another good start to the vacation.
6:30 am time to get up, crack the back, and lots of coffee. Weather is windy and gray. After several cups and a read of the Free Press off we go to church at the Crawley Community Church.
Home from church, pack the "pud" (dessert ) and up the M23 to Pettswood for dinner with Auntie Pat. As we get to our turn, off traffic slows to a crawl and up the shoulder zooms a police car. WE see a lorry or caravan flipped on its die and emergency vehicles present. Grab our bags and exit not sure how anyone. Auntie Pat looks great, her garden is coming in to full bloom and we ate, pork pies, sausages,, scampi, beer, salad, spring rolls and chicken. Trifle for dessert, with jellied salad, and chocolate cheese cake,
Flying visit, after several hours visit, back in the car drive home to Crawley. Traffic is bad, they have the same seasons we do, winter and construction, double the time to get home and guess what?, rain.
Back at Geoff and Alison's packing for our Irish trip, crisps, lunch meat, pop, wine, beer, GF food and breakfast items. Now off to bed early, stupid o'clock in the morning wake up call, on the road no later than 6am.
